ABOUT ME

Joseph S. Laskowski is the Co-owner of J-L Concepts and is a Artist and Photographer at the Laskowski Studio and Gallery of J-L Concepts.
Joseph S. Laskowski was born in Pompano Beach, Florida in the year of 1979 to his mother Patsy C. Smith of Idabel, Oklahoma and his father Stanley C. Laskowski of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Both of his parents saw art in interesting and unique ways. Although both of them favored a realistic nature of style, Stanley found appeal in fantasy while Patsy comforted realism, still life, and busts.
As early as the age of 3, Joseph mimicked artwork from his parents, found creativity for him, and was encouraged and inspired to progress his talent to peaks he has never known. At an early age, Joseph was able to see the world in a different perspective, since his mother was partially deaf and blind, he found ways to "wear her shoes" when helping her around the house or leading her over rough terrain. "Even though the disabilities my mother suffered with were horrible circumstances, they taught me to be compassionate, never take my gifts for granted, and to see the world in a different perspective," says Joseph.
Joseph has attended many art classes and seminars throughout his basic school and college years alike. He has entered numerous pieces into the Art Exhibits at the local Idabel Fairgrounds and many Art shows and festivals and has won various awards. Joseph has experience in working with a wide variety of mediums including oils and acrylics, pastels, pencils, charcoals, clay sculpting and molding, as well as digital pixel design, photography, photography restoration, digital animation, graphic design and website design.
